Jessica Baum, MA
Clinical Therapist, Trauma-Informed & Culturally Aware Mental Health Provider
Life is filled with both challenging and rewarding experiences. Sometimes we come to these prepared, and sometimes we are taken unawares. As a therapist, it is my intention to work with you to create a safe and trusting space where you can explore your life experience openly, and without judgment.
I want to help you identify and build on your personal strengths, and work with you to develop greater resilience, self-acceptance and well-being. In exploring the mind-body relationship, I can partner with you to learn to change your responses to emotional and even physical pain. As a trauma informed and culturally aware therapist, my focus and passion is to support you in addressing your life’s challenges.
From interpersonal relationship struggles to making pivotal life choices to coping with grief, mental health crises, or traumatic events, I am invested in the work with you. I can assist you in living with the challenges of clinical issues such as ADHD, Autism, anxiety or panic disorders, bipolar or major depression, PTSD or social phobia.
I achieved my MA in Counseling Psychology at St. Mary’s University of Minnesota and began my work in community counseling in 2013. I joined GroupWorks LLC as a clinical therapist in 2019. I have a strong foundation for working with youth and adults who are underserved and seeking help and understanding. This would include people of color and ethnic minorities, those physically impaired, the neurodiverse, and those who identify under the LGBTQIA umbrella. I look forward to the opportunity to be part of your journey.
