Dawn Pappas, MSW, LICSW, DBTC
I’m Dawn Pappas, co-owner and outpatient mental health therapist at GroupWorks Wellness LLC. Since 2001, I’ve been supporting individuals and families as an outpatient therapist, after relocating from Chicago where I earned my Master of Social Work from Loyola University and my Bachelor of Arts from Purdue University.
My approach is collaborative and relaxed—I truly believe the therapeutic relationship is the foundation for meaningful change. In sessions, clients can expect open conversation, skill-building, and encouragement. We’ll use the strengths you already have and apply them to the areas of life you want to grow in.
I specialize in helping clients manage the day-to-day stresses of life, and have over a decade of experience using biofeedback and neurofeedback to help people tune into and regulate their physiological stress responses. I work with individuals across the lifespan, from children as young as 10 to adults well into retirement.
I also have extensive experience supporting people in making positive lifestyle changes—whether it's improving relationships, exercise habits, or overall well-being. As a lifelong athlete, I’ve always valued movement and balance in life. My personal journey has included classical ballet, swimming, and track growing up, and today I stay active with yoga, weight training, cycling, skiing, and sailing.
If you are seeking change and are experiencing stress symptoms that are uncomfortable and interrupting your day-to-day life, I welcome you to give psychotherapy a try. I look forward to walking with you through fulfilling positive change.
